How do I know which level of treatment is best for me or my loved one?

Can we tour the facility before making a commitment?
Yes! We welcome you to come to experience our dedication in action, please call us at (770) 493-7750 to schedule a campus tour.
What is the average length of stay?
Treatment in our residential program is 60-90 days. Participation in our outpatient program is 60 days to 6 months, although many participate up to 1 year.
How often should I expect to speak to my loved ones therapist?
You can expect to have weekly contact with the assigned therapist.
What is the family's role during the treatment process?
Total recovery requires that the family system receive the education and tools to foster recovery and healing. Family members are viewed as vital supporters of the client’s recovery process. BRO is dedicated to educating family members about the nature of addiction, the process of change, and the family’s role in recovery.
Are the males and females separated in the program?
Our male and female residents are housed in gender-specific homes. We offer gender-specific groups and outings.
Are the programs for teens and young adults different from adults?
Yes, teens and young adults have unique developmental needs that have to be addressed within the treatment, so programming and intervention will differ from adults.
Are 12 step meetings a part of programming?
Yes, during Covid, residents remain connected to sober support systems via virtual platforms.
What to Bring
Mandatory and Recommended Items
- Bedding: complete bedding set for twin sized bed. Comforter, sheet(s), pillow(s), and pillowcase(s).
- Hygiene: alcohol-free personal hygiene products. Soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss, lotion, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, etc.
- Towels: wash cloth(s), dry towel(s), and shower shoes.
- Sleepwear: robe and sleeping attire.
- Clothing: no more than two weeks’ worth of clothing upon intake. Also include gym wear and swimwear. (Washer and Dryer Available).
- Other Ideas: big book, journal, pencils, pens, novels, sketch pads, MP3 player with no internet access for the gym.
Restricted Items
- Illicit drugs or alcohol
- Items restricted by law -Knives, guns, mace
- Clothing promoting drug/alcohol use
- Revealing clothing (i.e. short skirts and shorts; midriff-cut tops, strapless tops, etc.)
- Aerosol cans
- Sexually explicit material of any type
- Over-the-counter medications
- Mouthwash containing alcohol
- Incense or candles
- Wire hangers
